Mace
Over a decade of evolving one of the world’s most celebrated cocktail bars.
Creative Direction • Branding • Interior Design + Decorating
Mace is a spice-based cocktail bar located in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village where every element of the experience draws from the world of botanicals and global flavors. Inspired by vintage spice tins, the visual identity extends across the interior, menus, and printed materials, pairing mixed industrial finishes, lush greenery, and botanical illustrations to create a rich, immersive atmosphere.
Originally located on East 9th Street, Mace relocated to East 12th Street before opening its current home in Greenwich Village on West 8th Street.
Since opening in 2015, Mace has been recognized among the world's leading cocktail bars, including a peak ranking of #28 on The World's 50 Best Bars list and the 2022 Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu Award.

Mace – East 12th Street (2019-2021)
When Mace relocated to a larger East 12th Street space, the challenge was to evolve the brand without losing its identity. A former dive bar was reimagined using the original space's defining materials and details, including the zinc bar top, copper-clad back bar, textured mirrors, and lush greenery.
